COLLAGE RESEARCH: TADANORI YOKOO

Tadanori Yokoo is a definite pioneer of Japanese graphic design. His artworks/collages are so beautifully colourful and complex. The thing I admire most about his work is the way he managed to pull off the busyness of images without over killing them. Even more, he managed to make them look quite sophisticated. Now this is a skill! There are obvious references to Pop art combined with Japanese popular imagery joined together under his distinctive style.
